Hey everyone,
Using the SD pattern, I am hitting the short irons down to the 6 very well. However, when I get to the longer irons and esp the driver I am hitting a straight pull well left of my intended target(or sometimes it goes straight right and doesn't draw back-but mostly it pulls left). I am employing the Manzella SD grip. I "feel" with the shorter clubs I can do the right hand javelin toss; but as the clubs get longer I "feel" the club being thrown from the top over the plane- thus the club head is swinging to the left and the ball goes in that direction.??(it is a feel so I am not sure) Maybe with the shorter clubs I am getting away with not clearing the body first? How important is getting a good lateral shift back, so one can shift forward-thus giving room for the toss with the driver?- (meaning if My weight stays too left on the BS will a pull result?) Am I even on the right track in my thinking or is it something more simple. What is a good ball position for the Driver/long irons for the SD?
thanks

p.s. I mostly play a nice power fade for my driver on my home course; but there are a few holes where a draw is a must. Is the SD the easiest way to accomplish this for some one who prefers a fade. Does one do A full twist release(I think that is what it is called) for the SD like Brian taught me for my fade?
