these swings are me trying to use a more "centered" pattern..but it seems i'm casting and i dont know why.

this is an iron shot where i'm trying to move everything right off the ball (no sway) and then go from there.

Take the knees kicked in look out at address and then focus on getting the shoulders to tilt more going back then get the right shoulder to go more down in the downswing. This steeper shoulder motion in both directions should make it easier to get more onto your right side in the backswing.

Brian describes the shoulder/hip motion I'm referring to in NHA2. I have purchased NHA2, Softdraw and building blocks and I will be buying the rest of his videos soon. They ARE the best investment I have made for my golf game ever!

The top videos you don't put any weight on your right leg in the backswing and over-rotate your hips.

The bottom swing is better but a little too much exaggeration.

Did you try what sideyard and savydan advised?? Im no expert or "guru", but it's good advice...give it a try. Ditch the "centered" pattern feel.

Honestly...lots of good stuff going on. You have potential.

You probably would do real well with SD 1.0.

The Whole Shebang.

Pivot and armswing and all.

But yes ESPECIALLY with this driver swing of yours your pivot needs more spine tilt. It needs Athleticising. For sure this is not a knock on your ability BTW.

(I am referring to your mechanics...your alignments...they need Athleticising)

You flip it a little because you need to in order to hit up on it...or not hit down on it too much. (either way it is due to your lack of axis tilt in the downswing) And also because (of your pivot) your hand path moves away from you in your downswing.

Regarding the hand path, check page 1 and 2 of this thread of Brians:
http://www.brianmanzella.com/forum/...t-lie-ever-told-golf-instruction-history.html

For bombing your driver, or any other "stock", especially mid-sole divot shot...definitely with your mid and long clubs...

Certainly start with your weight balanced between the feet. (even distribution on each foot) Yes your pivot needs more upper body lean to your right. You may want to do that natural upper body move WITH an extra movement onto your right foot early in your backswing. (blend it with your takeaway) Or just with a turning (of your left shoulder) AROUND your now pre-tilted spine.

(even though your weight is centered your spine is a little tilted to your right because your right hand is lower than the left on the grip)

In your backswing, your head should move to your right a little should be behind your tailbone at the top. (and at impact for that matter) This is a good benchmark.

So to me this is what needs to be your new backswing pivot. (and your first adjustment)

Downswing for now: hit it.

You probably would do well with SD like I said but your pivot needs help most obviously.

I'd stop the open face waggles, move some weight out of the left foot in the first move back and keep the club outside the hands the whole way back and see what happens.

Your biggest problem isn't any particular movement you are working on - it's evident from the two different swings that your approach to learning the movement is wrong i.e. one massive change to another. The good news - you are "mentally" flexible - that's a quality that will allow you to make changes, experiment, become better.

I can't fully fix or explain "your approach problem" in a forum however, one guess is that you are really fixated on the immediate ball flight - and you make major changes until you hit on a ball flight/impact contact quality that keeps you working on that for awhile - until you "lose it" i.e. the ball flight/contact quality, then you're off on the next drastic change. Solution: Build a better swing - the ball flight will come at some point.

Just another angle to consider.

You have some talent, but at the moment your swing looks like a combo of stack and tilt/Hank Haney. I'm guessing those are two swings that you may have been working on at one time.

I like the advice on the lower body. Ride a horse a little at setup and see if that helps. The waggle is fanning open like someone said and the more you practice that the more it will show up in your swing.

My advice would be to fix the pivot and then go from there. You can't overdo a good pivot, but you can overdo stack and tilt and a flat swing.
