Swing advice

Video from a couple days ago. This is the first time I've had my swing videoed in a year or two. I have to work on shortening my swing, I didn't realize I went that far past parallel.

I also noticed how early my right heel gets off the ground in the downswing.

Anyone else see anything out of the norm, or some advice on how to improve my swing? I hit A LOT of blocks with my driver and typically miss my irons thin or toward the heel.

Typically blocks right with driver. Irons are usually straight or push cuts. My miss is thin on a poor strike (occasional shank).
Here is a video from today: Untagged with Unknown using Ubersense
Any advice on what I should focus on?

Ball position in this vid' seems to be a little too far back for the in to out swing and angle of attack.

Try playing the ball a smidgeon further forwards in your set up, then see how you go.

If you're having issues with push-cuts, I think you should strengthen your grip. If that feels too awkward, close the face at address. That effectively strengthens your grip.

Band aid that doesn't solve the issue. And his grip his way strong enough. Actually could be one of the reasons he's so under.

Update from the range:

52* wedge and 8 iron were beautiful. Straight shots that fell right.

4 iron was obviously more difficult. I had a problem not over cutting it.

3 wood off the deck was awesome. Probably the best I've hit that club this year.

Driver sucked bad. Lots of thin/heel cuts. I hit maybe 2 solid out of 20 balls.

Kevin, my left hand grip is weak, but my right hand maybe a little strong. Do you think I should try weakening my right hand?

I'm playing at 2:30 and I'll take a few videos. Thanks for all the feedback!

Here are a couple videos from today's round.

5 iron on 185 par 3 - aimed left side of green ... finished left fringe: Untagged with Unknown using Ubersense

Driver on 18 par 4 - aimed at the lone tree on left - hit it straight with maybe a 2-3 yard cut: Untagged with Unknown using Ubersense

Can you see "carry" on these swings compared to the originals? I feel like I'm cutting across it really hard, but the ball flight isn't typically huge slices.

Additionally, does anyone struggle with a long swing? I don't try to take the club back that far. Any tips?

From what I am seeing, you are now coming OTT (but not a lot) and your very slightly 'open to path' club face is preventing pulls to the left; giving you a little cut but with the OTT more the feeling of a slice.

Driver swing was not under total control at the end (too long) due to lack of firmness in your left hand grip, maybe. You might like to tighten up on the two middle and pinky fingers of your left hand.

YES!!!

Anything to get the club going more a little more upwards instead of around in the backswing.

When you're that far under you need to aim further left and play the ball more forward to hit the driver straight.

Am I that far under on the backswing or downswing? I don't feel underplane until 3/4 way on downswing.
