Swing analyzer Software + PC+ Camera Combo

Hello All, I tried many software to analyze my own swing ...cswing, V1 Home, JC Video and 2 or 3 video cameras. I never could get a good combo in terms of video quality and easy usability. I am not trying to construct a replica of swingvision but I would like to see the shaft, the club head very clear and move into the different swing position almost in real time during the analysis.

My notebook is pretty good, 4 GB RAM, pentium Intel DUO 2GHz, external HD.
Maybe the lack of quality is the video card, but I do not know.

Currently I am using JCVideo ultimate, which in my opinion is the best I tried, and a new Samsung HD camcorder HMX-H100N/XAA, pretty good but not super. I would like to improve my swing analysis station but I do not know how.

4 Questions:

1) What combo (sw + Camera) are you using or recommend?
2) What is the best camera position for DL and FO?...many opinion here, for example, DL: Mclean suggest in the target line. Leadbetter in the middle of the target line and feet line. Manzella?. FO Mc Lean suggest a high camera position and LB at hips level.
3) what is the best video format (avi, mpg4, jav, etc) to use ?
4) What Video Card are you using or recommend?

Gracias y saludos a todos, Eduardo.

A picture is worth a million words......in slow motion

Get yourseld a Casio Exilim camera. No need to fool around with anything else. There are threads you can search for on this site for more endorsements but that is what I would recommend

Which one? Say the EX-F1 for $999?
Then what golf software program will work well with it?
Sounds like from the EX-FC-100 thread - that you get pretty good slow mo, just not enought to stop impact and have a clear picture of the club.
From Casio's website the FH-20 videos at 1000 frames per second and costs $449 - I'd love to know if that would readily hook up to a particular golf software program.
Thanks

I use the FH-20 with Digital pro (now 5-D Technologies) for the software and it does everything and more that I need. Got the FH-20, Digital pro software with tripod for the camera, for less than $600.00.

I have the FH-20 and it can be used with SwingView Pro software. Quicktime and some dry erase markers can also work for the "liners" amoung us. The 40 frames per second the camera can shoot at works great and you can draw all the lines you want with the Paint Program found in the Accessories Program in your computer.

Thanks!!!

Thanks for all the feedback from everyone! Understanding what will work together can be really confusing, to say the least. You guys provided me with the information I needed.
Thanks!

So let's assume you are trying to pull off a video session by yourself. Camera on a tripod. Does the FH-20 have a delay shutter feature, like 10 seconds? In other words, set it move to address and swing with the camera firing off after X number of seconds. Or does it come with a wireless remote like my camcorder?

I read the specs and didn't see it. Could have missed it.

It would be more like ... set the camera up on a tripod and hit the record button. Depending upon the size of the memory card, im guessing it willl allow you to take longer video, then take that video and download to whatever program you use.

Thanks all for your feedback. When I bought my Samsung, my first option was Casio FH1, but there was a problem, my wife, it is too complicated for her, so intead of stay behind of the camera in all party and birthday, I prefered resign my swing analysis and go with the corean company :)

OK, how about camera position? any suggestion?

No delay feature; however, you are able to trim the shot with an edit feature that eliminates unwanted portions.
