In my opinion, these are the two best swings....OF THEIR KIND in modern day golf with regards to adhereing to every component that would match their types of moves. Again, just an opinion.

Kevin, how do you think Sergio gets from his flattening club in the initial stages of the downswing to the releasing action into impact SO quickly and smoothly? Its almost "invisible", even in slomo.

Great models for all the herbivores out there, but these two could play tug-o-war with a french fry and not break it. Who do you see as good model for us carnivores? Guys who'd rather eat the fry than bench press it.

I'm slightly confused, mainly because I view a move as being comprised of certain components. If Ryo and Serge had different components, they would have different types of moves, no?

Put differently, what is it about their moves that dictates the components they display? Who would be an example of a golfer with one or more components that does not match his type of move? Why?

One's a laid off, narrow, in hand path double shift with an out right shoulder (among other things)

And one's a wide, TSP move with a "downplane" right shoulder and twistaway

Maybe Tom Watson or 1992 Tom Kite

Kevin,
Would you say Dustin Johnson is a "hybrid", mixing a "Ryo-type" backswing with a "Sergio-type" downswing?

Thanks for the reply. What does he do with the shoulder plane to steepen the club? Flatten it?

Yes.

And lia, my personal thought is Dustin Johson is a Ryo type move with a steeper shoulder plane but his club drops to a lower plane. Thus conceding that his ball will start right and favor a draw. Chicken or egg, but it couldve been shaped due to the grip and clubface he has.

Thanks Kevin. His left shoulder is very low in the downswing till very close to impact. Not really that clever a move. To keep the shoulders turning so flat until close to impact and then to steepen at the last minute (right shoulder does go down a tad thru impact) is maybe why he's been struggling. Anyone agree?

These are like dream swings even can get to this much is a achievement. I think proper drivers are utterly important for a great swing. My Driver waht i would like to buy Cobra
