Hi everyone,
I've converted to a more "traditional" swing from what I was doing previously. My problem has always been a sliding (towards the target) with my hips. This has been a consistent mistake regardless of which type of swing I was making (i.e. traditional, S&T etc).
I watched a old DVD that I had and it had on it the "one leg/leg back drill" on it. Man did it work wonders for my swing. I finally got the feeling of rotating around my left leg instead of having a big slide.
The video linked here shows me doing normal swings after practicing with the drill for one session. The first swing isn't that great (still some hip slide), but the second swing is pretty good (a LOT less hip slide than previously).
I played one round with the a shortened version as part of my pre shot routine and my ball striking was pretty sweet (well for me at least). I also hit some really nice drives as well.
Unfortunately I am back at university right now (about 800km from my clubs) so this is probably the last vid for the year! I still have a lot of other things to work on in my swing (constructive criticism welcome!). I'm still a little flippy (I'll be watching Confessions again lol), and my swing (as usual) is a little on the long side)
I'll also post a vid of my swing pre-drill (i.e. lot of hip slide).
