Swinging - Its a beautiful thing!

I think i finally understand what "swinging" really feels like. Until today I really never allowed the arms to feel like "ropes" (Thanks Leo) and having the hands just hang on. Ben's "your adding" finally made sense. I have never really been swinging I've been Switting (adding with right arm)all this time

Today, playing a few short par 3's at a learning course I finally allowed the pivot do all the work withour adding. What a beatuful feeling - so effortless.

Ben's teaching is finally making sense and everything he taught me was "perfect" once my P-brain finally "hatched" it.

If you don't know if you are "swinging" I'll just say you will know it when you are - it is unmistakeable.

During my preshot routine I'm now telling my hands to "go to sleep" and telling my pivot "its time"

Cool!

Yes, I was at Canton. You can't learn this stuff in a short time. The incubation period is longer for those of us over 50 :) Overcoimng 30 years of doing it wrong takes time.

Way to go RB. One of the smartest things Ben says which paints a picture of the shoulder turn. SHoulder turn is sharp, then he shows you with the club head. Then he says the left shoulder turns toward the ball and you will feel your right shoulder on plane.

That was my biggest hurdle - getting my brain to allow it to happen. It goes against all my previous instincts. Try a George Constanza and just do "the opposite" of what your brain tells you do to.

I'm going to butcher this but Hogan said something along the lines of...

"If you do every un-natural thing you could think of in a golf swing you have a chance of being a good player."

I'm so glad it's coming along Ray! Look forward to seeing your mash that ball when you're here in UK.

You can tell when your hands really "go to sleep" when you start Float Loading (10-19-B). I love it when I stress that shaft!

I may butcher what you have already butchered but I thought it was closer to "take everthing that you would think be logical and do the exact oppisite, and you will have a pretty good swing."

Way to go Ray!
We all knew you had it in you at Canton, just needed to incubate a while. You scared me some time ago when you were a little frustrated, but I speak for all the boys from Canton when I say we are so proud!!! Slow continous progress!!!
