Swinging Left and Flipping

Swinging left seems to help me flip less. Is that a common result? Somewhere along the line, I learned to swing "out to right field," which also caused me to stop my pivot. With that pattern, I had to flip to get the clubface squared. As I focus on swinging left, or simply staying on-plane to the finish, I am making better contact and flipping less. For those of you in the know, am I interpreting this correctly?

For some players, and it sounds like you, absolutely this could be the case.

Funny, I seem to get the same thing. Less flip the more I swing left. But now I miss a different way, high, right, and short. And while I may not hit the snapper much anymore I notice I also hit less quality golf shots. Like high short drivers in the right rough and high spinny irons that land short.

It doesnt apply to you because A) your not a flipper and B) you're not too shallow
