Swinging left - divot direction?

It depends on where you hit it in the arc.

It depends on how much arc you have.

Etc.

Below is a graphic with two zero path "divots." The top on the ball is "struck" further back on the arc, a more downward AoA.

The bottom is a shot "struck" closer to the bottom, a less downward AoA.

Thanks Brian.

Swinging left is now a tick. Getting it back into the centre of the club face instead of the toe is now the challenge!

You could just aim the arc over there to the left.

Or you could just swing left of where you are aimed.

How?

A little carry wouldn't hurt.

Lots of small adjustments possible.

When swinging left do you have feel that you're going to shank it and then just avoid the shank?

I mean if you've been a chronic "in to out hitting down on it" kind of golfer, then by coming out more (carry) it will feel like you're going to hit it on the heel/neck. By moving more inside/left into and through impact you will "avoid" the shank. Know what I mean?
