Teach Off

Im rather new here but can see Brian has a passion for what he does.
Just wanted to say a few things about seeing him mention a teach off in some other post.

First off i would love to see a series on the golf channel where a a group of instructors get a full day with your average hacker who cant break 90 and see how much they improve.
Not sure how they would do it because some could argue one teacher had better students with more natural talent . So not sure how that part would work .

Would love to see this show instead of the big break show with a bunch of girls . No offense ladies.

Also all the hackers in the real world would relate to the show a lot more and maybe learn something! The show would be a hit, golf channel would gain from it, Everyday hackers would learn and most of all golf would benefit !

So i say dream big or just hang your hat up and lay on the couch and watch life pass by!
Ive seen those internet petitions where if enough people sign them it can make stuff happen!
There has got to be someone on here that knows about that and all the legal stuff. Lets start a petition and get half a million people to sign it online and get this thing going!

Would be fun if we got this started here and actually changed the world ya know!

That reminds me of a lady asking Moe Norman ( he was 65 at the time) if he plays other men for money, he said:" no one will play me".

I get the sense no other instructors will want to have a teach off against Brian. Although the lure of tv exposure makes people do things they might not otherwise do.

Just seeing the Haney Project is enough. Plus it wouldn't be a fair contest, Brian and Trackman against whoever and their methods and line drawing programs... blowout!... lol.

I'd rather see Brian with his own show and learn something worth learning. Maybe on youtube.... or?

One of the shows I’m really digging right now is called ‘Top Shot’ on The History Channel. It’s a competition where they take the best firearms shooters, from pistol shooters, long range shooters, military snipers, etc…..and have them face off in competition where they shoot various weapons and have various tests they have to run through. They’ve already done pistol shooting, long range rifle and even bow and arrow and crossbow. Supposedly they’ll have a slingshot competition soon.

Anyway, I’d like to see a show somewhat like this. Or a show where instead of focusing on the instructor so much like they do in ‘The Haney Project’, get a celebrity and have them paired up with a different coach. Like having say Mark Walberg work with Kevin Shields on one season, then have say Michael Douglas work with John Graham (I am just pointing out examples). Getting the focus on the celebrity would probably draw more ratings than having the focus on the golf instructor.

If I were to make a ‘Top Shot’ style of competition, I’d probably have each teacher get 4 students and each student would have the same exact handicap, then have them play in a tourney and the team that shoots the lowest score wins. Of course, production costs may get a little high and I’m not sure what other games they would play during the season.
