Just a little bio of my golf career and the irony of me finding this site.

I started playing golf at the age of 22 after graduating from the University of Alabama. Like most golfers, I had a slice. I worked night and day to become a better golfer. The way I learned to hit the ball straight was keeping the club square throughout the swing, no rotating LAFW. That was the feeling anyway. I hit the ball with alot of power and a great player off of hardpan. I had poor pivot fundamentals which made me transition into a toe up, toe up player. I played like this for may years and of course fought the hook.

I played some great golf over those years when things were timed correctly. At the same time, I lost yards off the tee, awful hardpan player and struggled out of the bunker. At 26, I was a plus 2 handicap at my home course. I became a good putter which made of for my weaknesses.

I have never had a professional lesson.

I started following Brian and watching the videos and now I know why I hit the shots I hit, good and bad. The irony here is that I have feelings that I had 11 years ago just didnt know that was the correct things to do. When I married those feelings with a good pivot, I have gained alot of distance and am hitting it further that I ever have. I drove to the front fringe of a 360 yard par 4 in Gonzales, LA a month ago (wind assisted but 360 none the less). Never dreamed of being able to do that. Irons shots are crisp and do not balloon into the wind which is something I am really having to get used to. I have 95% eliminiated the left side of the golf course and am on my way to getting back to that plus 2 handicap I was once at. I just have to get the short game in A shape after losing the passion to even play last year.

Just wanted to share.

Thanks for listening and thanks Brian and Co for the info you put out there for people. You are truly an asset to the game.

Great testimony. Post up a swing video if you can, I/we always enjoy seeing a good swing.
