TGM: how to match up YOUR components

i think we all agree that TGM is not a method, but a catalogue of a lot of different possiiblities, grips, planes etc...

so how does one mix and match correctly HIS components and decipher wich one is too work on and witch is fine as it is...
ex:we have many shifts illustrated, is a single "ok"? a double?...whats the pros and cons...

is the grip interlocked "ok"? Homer says something about this...

get my drift?

lets talk swing.
i think many have been influenced to swing when we were kids playing other sports...also why there is so much throwaway also! lol...
example, 12-2 shows a certain pattern that matchs up components correctly in an ideal swingers procedure i presume,

but how do you know you can have a different component that is ok to use thats not in the 12-2 list. how do you know the component youre using is compatible if not in those lists?

To be overcome, swing faults require in-swing compensations. One of the goals of The Golfing Machine was to present swing patterns that require no compensations -- i.e, an "uncompensated" stroke -- and that is what is found in the Basic Patterns of 12-1 and 12-2.

So, you can use the Basic Pattern as a "goal, guide and progress report" and then, ideally under the guidance of an Authorized Instructor, you are free to experiment with the Variations provided within each of the 24 Components to fit personal preferences and/or accomodate any unique physical issues.
