Call it:
-left arm replacement
-tumble
-a product of avoiding: (a) over-acceleration of the left arm and (b) reverse tumble/overly outward hand path
-a product of what John Jacobs instructed, "sweep the arms down and through", on a plane steeper than the shoulders

Here it is. This position is a good thing. People who know agree.

Note the:
-nearly vertical left arm, duh
-vertical clubface
-horizontally in-line shoulders

There is always some position where all good players are on that position, but the interesting part would be when. Like those photos I can see their hands are in totally different position at the moment when line of front shoulder, front elbow and hand are lined from that view. One more reason to get it to 3D-measurements is to include other factors for deeper understanding.

The big difference pops up when we continue to follow back elbow and back shoulder movements from that position to impact and beyond. There we start to see different releases

In line shoulders

Good stuff. but I'm not sure what horizontally in line shoulders means, it appears in all of these swings that their left shoulder is a little lower.
