The Open: Air time?

I may be wrong but I thought it was always on early in the morning here in the US? I was up at 6 expecting to watch golf. Now it looks like it's going to be on in the afternoon?? Am I smok'n something here?

I think it is a little different than in past years. It's still on here on the west coast pretty early (6am), but I think they've reduced the total number of broadcasted hours.

It was also tape delayed here on the east coast and only 3 hours of coverage....That is just terrible, how can they tape delay a major, it just shows how out of touch Espn/Abc is with the diehard golfing fans.

I know....It used to be network coverage that did that....I don't know if you are familiar with cband but espn was one of the first to drop cband and refuse to sell packages to them and went solely with pizza dishes and cable so for that reason I really dislike espn. But that is a whole different can of worms.

I was just surprised as I always thought it was on regular TV, even for die hard fans.

it was on in maryland from 4 am to late in the aftenoon LIVE thurs and fri...Then replayed @ night, for 3 hours. i thought it was plenty of coverage.
