the plain truth about the plane truth

Ya he did...that last post was good......some good points made by all really....

...

This has been brought up a bunch but w/e....

Brian had a few good audios and videos about this...

Dunno bout the 1P/2P stuff....there's some good things in it.....but it seems....

....it's not really complete....prolly too generalized..........some of the preferences and recommendations are kinda goofy (esp. if EVERYONE is supposed to do these same things)....etc.....

One perfect example: "WARNING: 1P's can only use a neutral grip!"

Well wtf.....

Then they talk about how Hogan is a model 1Planer or w/e....doesn't make any sense...

Worst posed pics ever too....in Golf Digest.....(I just always have to say that cause they're so obviously bad and it should set off at least some kind of "uh-oh" in your brain)

But.....there are some good things I think....

I'll say too that I haven't studied it lots but I feel if the GDigest article is any indication....well.....that gives me enough "grounds" to criticize...

It's like ppl say...."Well you haven't taken a lesson from so-and-so....how do you know what he does and how good he is..." (etc.)

Well.....if so-and-so is writing for a magazine (or w/e he's doing) as big and influential as that.....and writes some of the stuff the way he does in GD....or says some of the things he says....I mean.....that's enough right there to criticize...because if you're supposed to be THAT good (as rated by the media)....and you have that much influence.....everything you say should be very thought out and helpful. (more or less)

You put out one bad article....or one article with even a couple obviously bad things in it....and you've already done damage....

Just like David Alford says....it's gotta all be done right....

Creamer...

Whatchu guys think?

I think something looks weird in the backswing....unless it's her clothes (and/or boobs lol)....I think she needs to turn her hips tho...

And she needs tilt I think.....esp. seeing as she's swinging a driver.....may get told to get through it and get her weight on her front foot....

And not enough frames as ideal....but seems to need more lag too...

Yeah.. I think the general analysis is pretty cool.

Golf is not easy to become efficient. The promise for a simple and zero requirements to timing really caught many people's interest. They want to believe it so much.

The real deal is still The Educated Hands.

Great point. They do want to believe so badly in the "magic bullet" unfortunately it all boils down to learning and committing to "do it right".

She has more of a hip SLIDE in the backstroke instead of a hip TURN. That's probably why is looks a bit odd.

On her toes? If you watch most LPGA players they are often on their toes very early (as opposed to their male counterparts). Why? Maybe it feels powerful? Or as an unintentional response to a very aggressive pivot?

Justloveit: Good points. If golf was as simple as "turn back and turn through", wouldn't a lot of people be a lot better than they are?

Is this the very recent Paula's Swing? Doesn't resemble what she is really doing.

She their pitch elbow Deep towards the naval ( down and out) into the downswing. Making them look like a rag doll when they approaches release.

Matt , Coach. Thanks for the compli.

I think not in a snow ball years Hardy can explain using his so called theory. How Jim Furyk become the top 10 most accurate driver of the ball in PGA.

Interesting, what we see. My observation is that there is little if any hip slide, just rotation and a "stacked" position at impact. A simplified stroke!

She has about 8 degrees of hip turn. Maybe not a big, pronounced slide, but she does shift a little over to her right leg. Interesting lower body motion.

Not to harp on the "toe" issue but it seems to me that it is a reaction to height as opposed to width. Creating width will actually help to create a more compact motion and (imo, a more powerful one) rather than going for the "high hands look" so many young LPGA players are looking for.
