The Release and ball flight

Hi guys,

Just wanting to get some ideas here. I have been implementing Brian's ideas about the release vid with results that I find very impressive. I have gained an extra 15-20 meters with most clubs and a high, soft landing ball flight with the easiest swing I have ever had.

With the ball flight being high it is starting to get more affected by wind and we are starting to move into our windy season. I am wondering what adjustments I need to make to lower the ball flight while still using this release? Is this release pattern compatible with a lower ball flight?

The key is being able to deliver a bit more shaft lean without increasing the angle of attack. This is why a quality release is more versatile than tons of lean and attack angle as a stock shot. That pattern is harder to adjust when you need to hit it high.

Hand path getting wider and lower before impact could help you stay shallow and get more lean before pulling up thru impact.

WOW!!!! 15-20 meters more distance and also getting a higher ball flight... that's incredulous!!!!! Congratulations!!!!!

Also, if you have ever been a true handle dragger, your upper body MAY tend to hang back, causing inconsistent, scoopy contact.

Thanks for the suggestions guys. All are worth looking at but I think Kevin may have hit the nail on the head. The main problem I have been working on before the release vid was a steep path and high angle of attack, so maybe I need to shallow it out more.

Thanks again.

Steve, as you are someone who is both tall and slim, which requires you to adjust adjust your irons very slightly, do you have any responses to the original post?

Steve now I see how you have amassed so many posts on this site. If you can't contribute anything to the conversation, don't comment, then your count maybe more in line with the level of useful knowledge you have.

As you seam to doubt the validity of my claim consider what little information you know about me or my golf game, and yet you still have wisdom to share that which they wouldn't even put into a fortune cookie.

Now consider what would happen to someone's distance if they started to consistently make clean ball first contact with the club to ball. I don't see it being unreasonable to get an extra 15-20 meters in this situation.

If you still want to post juvenile useless comments in this thread you will continue to enjoy the solitary ignore status in my profile.

This is kinda what everything has been boiling down to for me. Nothing is on auto pilot yet, so when I see an odd trajectory or a squirrelly launch this element is now the first place that gets attention. I can't rehearse it enough.
