EXACTLY what I am going through right now. Having just

turned 58, and a range rat, I figured I was living on borrowed time.

Experienced severe spasms lower back and upper right hip. Finally went to a well respected chiropractor/MD and he said it was a facet and not a disc problem. He promptly stopped the spasms but the affect this has had on my swing is still an ongoing problem. I don't know if there is anything Icould have done differently other than to not have hit so many practice balls!

Do you practice on a driving range or a grass practice ground? The reason I am asking is driving range mats don't have much give in them so they transmit forces to the body, which can cause repetitive strain injuries and inflammation.

Strictly on grass. Thanks for the heads-up though.

I hate mats because you can be lulled into thinking you're making a lot better contact than you really are.
