This is a quote from a teacher on how his student hits the "stinger"...
“Basically you have to be able to steepen the attack angle and when you do that the sweet spot, the path of the golf club is moving out to the right so typically when guys get steep they hook it,”
If the idea is to reduce spin on a low launching/penetrating shot, wouldn't the best way to do it be to reduce the spin loft by dropping the dynamic loft and decreasing the angle of attack? It seems like steepening the attack angle is the opposite way to go for this shot. Am I way off on this?
