Can someone explain what Homer means by the term "throw" when talking about Trigger Types? It appears to me in 10-20 to be the beginning of release interval, but is it the beginning of Kinetic energy over Potential energy? Is this where the "wallup" come from?

Sustain the Lag,

John

"Throw" is used to denote a Trigger Type (e.g. Hand Throw, Right Arm Throw, Delivery Path Throw, etc.), regardless of whether they throw or are thrown.

Yes, using your selected Trigger Type will trigger the Release (surprisingly!) which begins the Release Interval.

Before Release, the Hands are accelerating during its linear travel. During Release, Hand Speed is constant but Clubhead Speed is increasing. The Hands and Clubhead are going around the Pulley (2-K #6) during Release.

"Wallop" in the book refers to Throw Out Action in the Centrifugally Powered Swing.
