who goes to the range that I go to who has a swing problem where looking at his divots some swings he goes inside out, some goes square, and some go over the top. He putts a shaft down for alignment and places the ball in about the same spot. It is a perplexing issue to see, anyone have any experience with this?

does he set up at/check impact fix?...a ball-width or even half-a-ball width distance change can make a big difference (and this includes either toward/away from the target or toward/away from your body)...otw, this and adding in some stance width changes and one can (and i have/do) get all of the above...

no, he does not set up at impact fix stance is about shoulder width but does not get on the side of too wide.

if you know him, intorduce him to impact fix...my guess is many times he's not ending up (at impact) where he thinks he's setting up to be....
