Wanna learn a little about your path? Take a swing in the snow and look at the 3d path as it carves it out. Very informative if you've never tried it.

John, you'd of thought, being a transplant Canuck, that I would have tried that by now. Good idea!

Yes, I have done that quite a bit actually....Awhile back Brian posted there is a straight path in the swing and I knew that was true from my hitting into the snow, there is a 6"-8" section that is pretty straight. I also like the feeling, it is a cross between hitting a real golf ball and hitting an impact bag, the heavier the snow the better.

Ha! Funny thing is that this thought occurred to me while I was getting ready to go shovel. Glad to know I'm not crazy all by myself!

Yes it's a little foam ball....My wife and I compromised after I put a real golf ball through the drywall (caught a flyer, I was chipping into a big pillow against the wall) we decided only foam balls in the house. Also, nothing more than a wedge in the room with an 8ft ceiling, 7 iron is a little too much club (left a mark on the ceiling). She only tolerates the foam balls especially when I caught her right in the side of the face while she was reading a book, she just looked at me and went back to reading, it was a long month.

I used to live in MN. When I tried to hit off of carpet like that it left melted carpet behind. What are you doing so that doesn't happen?

Its a high end carpet, made mostly of wool and I did use a remanant to hit off of into a net in the garage and couldn't notice any marks so I started hitting in the house.
