Tiger...then and now, who's better?

New
Asterisk for 2000

There's no question whatsoever that the current win streak exceeds the old "6 Consecutive PGA Event Win Streak" of 1999-2000.

The "6 win streak" is a media-fabricated myth. That was counting PGA of America events ONLY. In between some of those PGA events, Tiger played several events with world class fields and LOST !

After winning four in a row, he finished sixth in the Johnnie Walker Classic in Taiwan, which Michael Campbell won. He then won once in a PGA event. Then he finished 10th in the Williams World Challenge in Scottsdale, which Tom Lehman won. The two losses are conveniently excluded from the "Streak" (of PGA events).

He's better right now than in 2000.

During his current streak, Woods has recorded under-par scores on 30 percent of the holes he has played while only posting over-par scores on 7.5 percent of the holes
and imagine if he did not have 4 bogeys in a row. I think what is impressive is his bounce back. He hits like crap one day and is able to fix his swing the next. To get four bogeys in a row, which he had not done in what, nine years? and then come back and win the tourney, his own bad play cannot even shake his confidence.

also, I honestly expected VJ to win because he had a 3 stroke lead and tiger does not seem to go real low very often. Tiger will shoot 66 and 67, so I figured if he did that VJ would only need to shoot 2-3 under to win. I thought VJ's demeanor would have the best shoot at shaking tiger a little, guess not
