Tiger hit a ton of irons during today's 3rd round at Augusta that were on line but his distance control was off. Somewhere, Butch is laughing. Wasn't improved distance control why Tiger changed his swing after the 1997 Masters romp? Despite his zeroed out face and path Tiger is tending to miss long but also short (less often the case). I have a sneaking suspicion that something is going on with Tiger's spin loft (compression) numbers and not with his clubhead speed. What do you guys think? Tiger used to pride himself on being "pin high, baby"--something he said he learned from O'Meara. What gives?

He might be zeroed out but not exactly zeroed in. Yet.

Interesting. Hopefully Brian can chime in here. We're all of course "outsiders" to what's going on but Brian would know better than anyone here.

Tiger's looking great today, for sure. This is just a great golf day in general. Exactly what the game needs at this point.

Tiger F----n' Woods. Wow. Incredible eagle.

Is it just me or is he really working on getting that feeling of the arms to just fall, like Butch wanted him to, like Haney wanted him to, and apparently like Sean wants him to. That's part of a great tumble, folks.

I called the hurt back as his next injury.... hope we didn't just see it.

Even par on the back 9 on Sunday at the Masters by Woods when in a position to win?! Almost as shocking as the story that un-ravelled after the fire hydrant. Someone tell Foley to leave his short game alone.

all I know is he hasn't driven the ball that well in years and if he keeps that up he will go on another run that could be historic

The toll a left leaning pivot and swing takes on the back was discussed a while ago--probably about a year ago. He hurt something on that swing on 18, but was bending over pretty well on the green, so not sure it was the back.

Tiger's putting kept him out of this win.

it looked like he tweaked his ankle, he was limping a little but after putting he was walking fine again.

Some iffy chipping didn't help either...

Agree with this too. For all the talk of his poor putting, he holed a few good ones. But I don't recall seeing one good chip. There were a few I thought I could haved done better, and that is saying something!
