A spine angle of 29 degrees opens the club face.
EXCUSE ME??

You can demonstrate this for yourself at home. Take your address position and tilt your upper body about 30 degrees to your right. You will see your club face open, which will push your drives to the right.
Uhhh.. no. That's not at all what I see. And this has NOTHING to do with him hitting it right. In fact the increase in axis tilt helped to GET RID of the shots to the right. That's why he did it so much.

In the third photo is Tiger's old swing, which is much better. Less sliding, a more vertical spine. Also notice that in the third photo Tiger's hips are more open at impact
Again.. wrong wrong wrong. Did these people ever actually LISTEN to what Tiger said? His 3rd picture (I think 97 swing) has less sliding and more vertical. Tiger SAID THAT WAS WHY HE GOT STUCK. He called it the "Ole" move. And Tiger was absolutely correct.

Juniors learn this move. "I" learned that same move. It generates a lot of speed, but controlling the clubface is near impossible. Turing your hips and shoulders fast is how you learn to swing. This guy who wrote the article is just dead wrong.

Hip rotation, on the other hand, is the real source of power for the swing.
Oh boy.. there's so much there, I don't know where to begin..... so I just wont.

The writer DOES know what he's talking about with the muscle fibers though... but I don't think they had as much of an impact on Tigers swing as they're saying. The mental aspect of changing his swing is what got to Tiger. (And a lack of PROPER EQUIPMENT to match his changes)

I do have to say that the Yips thing is interesting. I see it as quite possible but would need some more data to support the theory.
