Here's an interesting article to chew the fat over.

It took Leadbetter 2 years to reconstruct Faldo's swing, and he admitted much of it was trial and error experimentation.
When I met Haney many years ago, he was using a hand manipulation approach to guiding golfers through the golfswing. I wonder if he did the same for Tiger.
In any event, these top pros are so hard-wired neuromuscularily into their childhood golfswing, it may take longer for them to convert their swing than it would for a recreational golfer ... pumping steel and graphite ....!
Don't be surprised if Tiger reverts back to his old swing habits when he is under extreme competitive stress ..... FORE TO THE RIGHT !!!!!

What was wrong with Tiger's "old" swing, which won him all those Majors? What has changed? Still looks like he is trying to crush the ball with his right side.
Nothing was "wrong" with his old swing. If the article is accurate,it seems Tiger is trying to create a longer "flat spot" through impact which will enable him to play his best golf more frequently. He said only Moe Norman and Ben Hogan truly "owned" their swings. He wants to own his as well.I for one hope he succeeds.2005 might be an exciting year.quote:Originally posted by DDL
