Sup guys

Was messing around with my swing radar just now.. Im just curious how many of your feel like your stretching and coiled up tight on the backswing?

Ive always thought a long coiled up tight feeling backswing meant more swing speed...
Was just now taking a easy backswing where i felt loose at the top and improved swing speed by 7 MPH

Was just curious how many felt loose and how many of yall felt coiled and tight..

If I felt fully stretched and coiled up tight I'd probably hurt myself. I swing too hard for that. :)

I had the same experience this past week, actually. A few of my remaining brain cells rubbed together and I remembered Johnny Miller once saying that at the top of his backswing he wanted to feel as relaxed as possible, from head to toe, and that freed him up. Definitely trying to remember that when I practice these days.

I'd like to know too. I have seen Kevin and Brian stating to have slack at the top, but when in the downswing is the slack taken out?

You want slack at the top...take out the slack on the downswing. I think this is quite underrated these day by some very good players.

I have the exact feeling that Jon is talking about. I'm glad to see I'm onto something. Thanks for your input Jon!

i think i was coiling up so tight that it was making my transition to the downswing to powerful.. Hard to explain but almost like i had to use all my effort just to get back to normal that i had nothing left to get through the ball with..

That make sense to anyone?
