that is the question. I've been playing a single ball postion, inside my left heel, for about a year after following Brian's teachings. My question, should I open my stance with the shorter irons? In Hogan's book he shows an open stance for shorter irons, a slightly closed stance for driver, and the rest basically square. Does Brian teach the same way? Anyone? Thanks!

By keeping the ball off the left heel and opening the stance, you are in effect moving the ball back in your stance (or at least back from your low point). There is nothing wrong with this at all but I would ask Brian himself since he may want you to do something different for other reasons. Also, opening your stance helps you 'feel' the resistance, so it is easier to make a shorter backswing and still feel like a full coil.

No. That is my dad and the rest of the 'fire control gang' (they operated gun #2, 40mm) from the USS Shubrick DD639, 1945 not long before they were attacked by a kamikaze at the battle of Okinawa.

Hey Tom that's something to be really proud of. My dad was is Vietman and I have HUGE respect for our veterans. If your dad is still alive tell him thanks.
