toeing shots badly

lately i have had toe shanks, and lots of shots that arent even hitting the grooves. i notice when i make a practise swing and try and put the club on a target like a daisy..etc...and i swing back when i swing through i swing and miss the daisy completely to the inside. i dont get why im doing this....unless maybe im getting steep on the downswing?

any thoughts and drills to stop is or help alter/flatten out shaft if it is too steep.

thanks alot

I fight this all the time but I know the cure for me. When I'm hitting on the toe I don't take divots. When I'm taking healthy divots, it's sweetspot city. I guess if you kinda flip you stand up and it's toe contact but direct all that thrust down and through that ball and the sweetspot just finds that ball and it's boom boom sizzle:)

The last couple of weeks I've been hitting off the toe, but the ball draws or hooks depending where on the toe I hit it. Mostly with the driver. Frustrating.

Have tried a bunch of things but haven't found out what's changed to cause the problem. I'm Manzella neutral and normally hit it straight or a slight draw.

Any ideas on a video to watch? I searched the site but not much shows up on the subject except a short list by Brian which doesn't seen to apply to me.

so no one has advice on curing this? It's killing my game right now. I don't know how to fix it either.

I'm guessing from the feel it is on the verge of a reverse pivot which causes a severe shortening of the swing. For a few days I thought I had this fixed by striking inside the ball and keeping my right shoulder low.

There is something in what you guys are saying about taking a divot. If I take a healthy 'inside' path divot swing it helps. Not sure why though. It's a real mystery.

Do you have video??

I have done a bunch of different things to fix this in my own game. Not one was an insta-cure...............but they all helped. They seem to be pretty well outta my game now.

(I still feel they are lurking though.........esp. if I change something or get sloppy)
