Anyone see Toski last nite on the golf channel. Real adament about using arms and golf club head, mocked the right side and said it was all left arm, I also found him cocky.Well its the way I saw it. Its amazing, I watch the golf channel alot and teachers and pros all have a diiferent opinions on the golf swing and all succeed in their own ideas what the golf swing is. I see teachers knock some of the great players swings and I dont know why cause they are succesful with them. I guess its like what Brian says I teach what that person needs. This game is very confusing in trying to know what is the right way....

I would agree...I think that is why BM is always stating a few things:

  1. If it works for you, then it is a viable option (paraphrase of course)
  2. If a motion helps one obtain the 3 imperatives, all is good (of course another paraphrase)

There are a bunch of right ways. The key is to find the "right" way for you.

What I find sad, is a guy like Toski, who can't see value in other ways of looking at the golf swing. IMO it is clear that the body does not respond to the swinging of the arms, it sounds nice, but clearly, lower body action starts the downswing in all professional swings.

I saw some of it and disagree. I heard Toski talk about the necessity of the flat left wrist and lag, although not in TGM terminology. He also told a great story of teaching Judy Rankin to fade the ball with an ultra strong grip. His advice to her in the 60's was to get her left arm left after impact as soon as possible, similar to Brian's excellent Never Hook Again.
