Brian,
Two parts to this question:
1. Who would you consider to be good models on tour to watch and study?
2. What specific positions are good to watch for and emulate?
There are a lot of swing sequences on the web (GolfDigest.com) and I like looking at the positions they get in, but it can be difficult to know which section of the swing to look at.
Thanks.

Annika has good full roll through the ball.

Elk would be good, so would Davis Love III, and believe it or not Rich Beem makes a really good pass at it. But Elk the best. The Toms guy is OK...

Love the quick and deliberate young guns: Badds, CH3, 'Little Nick'

...Jonathan Byrd is quite Hogan-like...

Brian: At the Open I watched Matthew Goggin. I was more impressed with his ball flight than any of the big names although I have to say Rick Beem hits it great also. What do you think of his swing as a model? I was spotting for ABC on the Elkington,Faxon and Montgomerie match. Steve Elkington sets up to the ball the same way as Ben Doyle does in his video. It is easy to see Mr Doyle's influence .

Tried to place the pic of DT but couldnt. There is a sequence of him with one pic in particular that i would love your comment on as it is a new move to me but one I recently tried and it made perfect sense and helped considerably. It is the fourth pic when they start the anaylsis and they note how his Right wrist begins to fold BACK as oppoed to hinge vertically which I have always thought was the "correct" way (which i could never do).

Right wrist should bend back ONLY, never cock!
Brian : I take it that this is what you mean by horizontal hinging? could you go into angled hinging and why you don't like it? Thanks.

This is for EVERY stroke.

For a Practice drill, Educate the Left Hand to reproduce--with Zero Pivot--the three Hinge Actions, distinct and seperate, while swinging continually back and forth. First without a Club, then with a short Club, then with both Hands. Then, with increasing Pivot motion using the Right Forearm.

Learning one Action is so helpful because you won't know their differences.
