Whether or not I actually can PLAY BETTER with another pattern, my limited practice this winter has concentrated on finding the TRUE CENTER of the MANZELLA MATRIX.

Getting close despite my extra weight (life as a contractor) and limited flexibility.

What do you feel???????

when you make that noticeable shift?

BTW, I love the sound of you hitting a golf ball,

You the man Brian.

Bman,

Remember that thread this summer when everyone argued about having your back foot on the ground at impact? You know, one of Jimmy K's students? Blah blah blah Ernie, Vjay, Phil don't do it so it can't be good?

Well, that is one of my favorite parts of this pattern!

Which side of the matrix are you approaching the center from? Soft draw? Or is it really a mix of soft draw and soft fade?

Brian, would you please comment on your right hand action at and past impact? Is it more of a "middle matrix"? Scoop the marbles?

what clubs are you using now Brian? those look like mizuno mp-57's, i think. i got them :) what are your other clubs?

Comments on swing

Brian,

Thanks very much for posting the video.

Some observations

Your left ear moves maybe two balls to the right by the time the club is parallel to the ground in the first part of the backswing, the head drops maybe one ball and there is a noticeable displacing of weight in that direction as well. By the end of the backswing the left ear is back where it started having moved leftwards as the hands start to go towards the target.

Is this what you call moving “towards the right” but not shifting the weight right as you expressed in a post a few weeks ago?

Is this a deliberate move to gain some forward momentum in the downswing, demonstrating your “fall/counterfall” idea?

Do you think this move has advantages over keeping the left ear where it was at address but ending up in the same spot at the top of the backswing?

Look fwd to your comments and thanks once again for all your input.

Yours,

James
