You could do this two ways...one, take two flashlights and put them butt to butt. Take your swing and make sure the flashlight beam points at your plane line all the time (unelss its parallel to it).
You could also swing a wooden down or even a club...as you hands approach waist high in the downswing (or more literally when the club shaft is parallel to the ground), any point after this, the club shaft should point at an extended plane line all the way into impact. NOTE: The clubhead may not physically COVER (be right over the top vertically) of the plane line, but your shaft will be 'shooting' it!
The Stallion also mentioned to swing a club normally, however, take a wrist band (on right wrist) and secure small flashlight to it. The flashlight should be on the inner part of your forearm...as you swing back, the light should point at your plane line, and as you move past parallel to the ground in the downswing, that light should again trace that plane line.
