Any difference with Trackman data on different kinds of shoes and spikes to back up what they are saying about shoes?

I remember reading about some shoe or spikes that padraig was using that gained him a bunch of yards or something, probably referring to that.

Me too...but I suspect the conclusion of such a study would that shoes do not significantly impact on any of the parameters that affect either accuracy or distance. You should buy pair of golf shoes because they are comfortable and or look great. IMHO, there is no performance advantage to be acquired.
