Trouble Swinging Too Far Right

Got some video taken today while on the course. The things I noticed were, my pivot has gotten so much better after reading Brian's stuff, have a nice lean right look at the top of the swing. I also set my lag and increase it a bunch at the start of the downswing.

The two perhaps problematic areas I noticed that I was hoping to get some help fixing are:

1.At the top I tend to get across the line a bit, I've always fought taking it back too inside and have been working hard on getting into a Unitas spot at the top with the right arm, but noticed today that on the video my club was clearly pointing well right of the target at the top from the down the line position. I guess what I'm asking is, is this a problem? If so, how would one go about fixing it?

2.I'm swinging a bit too far right, it sort of looks like from the face on angle that my right shoulder is going too far downplane and I'm not getting the left shoulder open really at all by impact, almost square shoulder at impact.

Ball Flight wise, with a driver I sort of have two options right now, I either hit a swing around hook that goes lower that it really should, or I hit it on a proper trajectory but the ball goes right.

With irons I'm fighting hanging back and flipping it over to the left. I have a kind of fall back move with all shots really.

Any help would be greatly appreciated....

Thanks,

KM

Have you bought any of Brian's materials? I'd suggest never slice again, never hook again and confessions of a former flipper. I think each of those will provide the pieces of information that you are seeking.

Indeed...I have NSA 2.0, the series with NHA, Building Blocks, COFF, and Over and Out....all great stuff, and a big part of the reason I can look at the video and have any clue what the heck is going on...just looking for a little help as how to fix the specific problems and a bit more information...

Knowing that, I would work on going more up in your backswing ala NHA. That should assist in preventing coming from to much inside. I would then look at whether you can put the club on the movie screen from NSA. I don't think you can swing out to the right and achieve that position. Then of course check your divots to make sure that they look good.

For your driver, make sure you are teeing it up high enough.

I see what you're thinking, Zarro...but I wouldn't make the NSA "movie screen" move quite yet...

KMCG, can you post your video?

Unfortunately not at the moment...college coach took it with his VHS camera and I don't have access to a means by which to convert the VHS to digital. I'm hoping to grab use of a digital camera sometime this week, but I'm not positive on that one.

If movie screen is too drastic right now, would working on hitting the box be better, this in addition to more up on the backswing? My reasoning would be that if you are swinging to far to the right, then the shaft would reach the box a long time before the clubhead. If you were to swing more left, both the shaft and the clubhead would hit the box closer together?
