Trouble trying to imagine hips and clubface at impact.

Hello everyone,

Feel free to chime in and help me imagine and understand.

I've been thinking about my iron swing (ah who am i kidding. I never did stop thinking) and looking at videos of my swing, it's clear i hit the ball OK with my hips/shoulders being only slighly open at impact. And i do mean VERY slightly.

Comparing with the low handicappers and pros, they always seem to have hips/shoulders somewhere to the right field or almost towards the target at impact.

Whenever i try to go to the impact position as open as them, my clubface is never square and is always way open. My hands always looks strong at said impact position but they are not at address and in relation to clubface (i always do the Manzella check on clubface and back of my palm before i grip).

So for so long i had given up on really opening my hips/shoulders at impact. Recently there was a thread on hitting the wedges 160 yards. I know a couple of guys who can just blast it with any club but their clubface is always a little closed at address. It had me thinking.

OK. Long story short. In order for me to have nice open hips/shoulders at impact, do i need to swallow the pill, and adjust my clubface closed at address so it looks straight at the target at impact, and just learn how to hit straight with it?

Does that make any sense? With the clubface aligned with my palm, I just can't seem to get my hands naturally at that impact position to have the clubface straight at target. It always wants to be very open and strong.

Strengthening one's grip has always been a band aid (for some, a band aid thats lasts forever) for people who cant square it up for multitudes of reasons.

Yours will always be an advice i would definitely consider. Can you give me some of the most common reasons?
Is it my lack of strength (you know the muscle running at the bottom of my arm - forgot what its called)?
Lack of tumble while trying to lag the clubhead?

Freeze me now at impact and it's UGLEEEY!

Has anyone seen Jacob's latest videos on Youtube about impact low points? Apart from other new ideas, he pretty much explained my OP question. At least i've got something to go on now when i get back to the range.
