Twist Away and Downswing

Should I have the feeling after I perform the twist away/wedding right up in the backswing that my left and right hands/wrists are more like one unit? I'm going from a cupped left wrist to a little bow in the left wrist which feels dramatically different.

Should I also get the feeling that I can just keep this unit into the downswing with very little hand/wrist/arm manipulation?

My dad focues on keeping his 2 palms together as one unit. Dont know if it is right but works for him.

People with a severe slicing (open club face) need to hold the twist for as long as they can. They may starting hitting the ball dead left, but the face is fixed. Once you get the path straightened out, you're on your way to better golf.

I personally only concentrate on one hand or the other while using twistaway. Right now mostly the left. Also, for me, i tend to apply the twist in the transition and hold into impact. At transition, i think "clubface closed", so by the time it gets to impact its actually square. When Brian showed me how much twist was needed as i was coming into impact i couldnt believe it, felt like i would hook the ball off the planet with a super closed face, but that was just a feeling, in actuality the face was square.

I'm actually a hooker of the ball. I get handsy under pressure and flip. The twist away move allows me to feel like my hands are one and have a more body centered rotation through impact. Much harder to get lower lofted clubs in the air with this move. I've come over the top (slightly) most of my life and generally aim right and play a pull draw under pressure. The twist away allows me to get my hands more as one better then any other move I've tried. I need my right should to feel like it goes down instead of out and over in order to avoid pull draws with this move. I wonder if anyone else has had a similar experience.

Wedding ring up is at the finish/follow through and is a result of doing the twistaway throughout the downswing, through impact and into the finish. At first it feels like a lot of hand/wrist/arm manipulation, but becomes automatic after a while.
