Twist-away and lag?

Does twist-away create lag? It seems like when I hold my right wrist after the twist I can pound the ball better. Is that a true statement or am I just making this up?

By-product.

If you TWIST-AWAY (and you needed to), you can THEN have both kinds of lag and since your right wrist is bent, you can use THAT too.

Brian:

I have been utilizing the Twist-Away method for about a month now. I have been working on the degree of twist away and I have found that a modest twist away helps me best but that I can also get more lag than before and hit down on the ball with MUCH MUCH better shot results...

For me Twist Away is a stronger position from which to maintain the Flying Wedges all the way to Low Point. How can something be bad if it improves structure? Just a personal observation.

I thank you, and my builder thanks you.

Now, WHY IN THE WORLD do I TEACH GOLFERS to try to twistaway?

Because THEY DO THE OPPOSITE!!!

I want them to be TOTALLY ORTHODOX at the top eventually, all of my long term students are.

But, please, LET THEM ALL NOT TEACH IT.

The BLEADWETTERS, HANEYS, kool-aiders, all of 'em.

Please keep doing it the way you all are.

I need the money for my new house.
