Never Hook Again -- pulling

How do you stop pulling the ball with the NHA pattern

I really feel like I am going up the wall much better now, stopped the dreaded flat shoulder turn and lateral slide, and feel much more lift than inside and around when I was fighting my hooks

I also know I need to get hard left after impact but im having trouble coming down before going left so that i am now over the top. Actually I dont mind this too much since a controllable fade is way better than the duck hook I had but can I learn to time coming back down the wall before going left. All feels so OTT to me its unreal

NEVER HOOK AGAIN!

Lift (as you feel like the clubhead goes Up the wall)

Drop (as you feel like the clubhead goes Down the wall)

& Rotate (as you allow the clubhead to go Left of the wall)

Hmmmm.....

Looks like you ned more Drop.

Put it this way—if you DROPPD ONLY (no pivot) from the top, where would the clubhead land?

BELOW PLANE.

So....if you DROP more—before your rotate too much—you will be ON PLANE.

Just like....if you DROP LESS—before your rotate too much—you will be ABOVE the PLANE...like you are now.

:)

Tks Brian

Seems like I feel I cant drop my arms fast enough (possibly fighting the urge to rotate too quickly). To get around this Im feeling like I pull down with my arms (ringing the bell ) with my shoulders turned and then rotatie hard left from hip high

BUT im assuming that this hands/arm led motion is bad (perhaps it isnt) .. and that I should let the drop be pivot controlled rather than arms led. I make too many assumptions from what I read I think .. If I can use my hands to drop the club and then rotate .. I guess this is still fine. This is I think what Duingan talks about and I was wondering whether I should try this out as a remedy

Brian . . . Check out that cat's pics . . . THAT looks like TOO MUCH OUT for SURE. Agree?

Right now im more like the bad swings pics on p24 of that article trying to get back to his correct swing pics on p22. With my inside hook swing I could get there and swing out right like he did (cue the big pull hook) but I want to go up the wall, down the wall and left. Ive gone from too inside to a little OTT

It looks to me like what he's demontsrating is a way to get the DROP part of Brian's NHA pattern better .. ???

Ya where do you drop it Brian...? Down on behind you (some)...?

What about a little bit of a Furyk or Ryan Moore action....?

Make the NHA backswing.

Then when you are doing the drop, LITERALLY drop it into the ground without adding any pivot.

Do that like like 3-4 times and then go ahead and hit a shot. Like Brian said you are pull the ball because you aren't letting the club "drop" enough.

I get the why, just not the HOW

I can drop it a long way but hit thin shots with an open clubface (blocks) so I go back and rotate too early again

I need to understand how to feel and time this motion
