Twistaway - Chipping and Bunker play?

Sorry for yet another twistway thread but Brian is definately on a winner with this concept.

So.. we've heard about the twistaway in the full swing, how about for the short stuff and bunker play?

As long as you make sure your grip is neutral/weak enough for the situation at hand is there any reason not to use the twistaway feel ?

Why would you use it for bunker shots when you want to keep the face OPEN?

Because people who NEED the twistaway simply open the face TOO MUCH.

Essentially, you still use the twistaway for chips/bunkers/pitches you simply "twist less" and open your body while cutting across the ball.

I have progressed to the point that it's a mini-twistaway for all shots. I twist enough to flatten my left wrist and no more. It's very valuable in bunkers. Gives me more distance control than the common cast/flip move taught by many teachers. IT's also VERY useful soft semi-flops from the fairway. You can take advantage of bounce, have better control and not worry about thin lies!
