Twistaway/NSA question

Watched NSA for the first time yesterday after Brian recommended it based on some info I posted about my game on a previous post.

Anyway, when performing the twistaway, I am not bringing the club right up on plane as BM demonstrates in NSA, it gets sucked back to the inside a bit. That being said, at the top, my clubface is never, ever, open and my left wrist is never cupped, so I guess I have 2 questions for now.

Based on my observations, should I worry about the club being "underplane" on the way back if it is ending up as I described at the top of the backswing?

Does anyone have a thought when doing the twistaway that prevents the club from sucking back to the inside?

I wouldn't worry about an inside takeaway as long as 1) the hands aren't popping out and 2) you're not laid off.

However, with that being said, the particular twistaway thought I had when I used the twistaway did a good job of preventing what you are talking about. My thought was to "point the clubface away from the target" in the backswing.

So, if the choice of faults is between popping the hands and getting underplane on the backswing, I'd rather be underplane, correct? Naturally, I'd rather do neither, but right now it is one or the other.
