Great question.
At the Vegas Seminar, I asked Brian what adjustments were recommended, based on the d-plane, for a lie above your feet. He thought about it for a second, and then decided that you should take more club, and then open the face. This makes total sense if you think about it. Since you are opening the face to restore the top vector of the d-plane, and thus adding loft to the face, you need to use more club in order to offset this additional loft. I can tell you that I have done this many times now in tournament play, and enjoy how easy it is. The toughest part is just trusting that all of the adjustments are done in the setup, and making your normal swing.
