Can you define - "swing more left".
Would it be changing the plane line more left?
Or would it be moving the ball up in your stance so that the clubhead was moving more left than if it was further back? Or would it be a generic term that would cover both of the above and maybe more?
Thanks
I lived in Atlanta last year and it's very hilly up there, so I needed to learn how to play those lies and more or less how to hit the ball *straight* from those lies instead of relying on the ball to curve.
On uphill/downhill lies I move the ball position towards the 'higher foot.' So downhill lie, the rear foot is up 'higher', so the ball moves back in my stance more. Uphill lie, lead foot is higher, so the ball position is moved up a bit more.
On uphill lies I typically hit big draws and downhill lies I typically hit cuts. So I would move the ball towards the higher foot *and* swing left (uphill) or swing right (downhill) to hit the ball straight. It worked for me. I still am not sure about the physics and geometry behind it or if it's a 'feel is not real thing.'
