It is possible, but you would probably learn the principles faster taking lessons from an AI. This forum is a great source of information, where you can learn about TGM.
If you don't live near an AI, I would suggest getting Ben Doyle's tape. In the tape he explains the 24 components, and explains other facets of TGM. The tape is pricey, but for me it has been worth the money.
Eventually I ended up taking a lesson from Ben Doyle and plan on taking lessons 3 to 4 times a year.
