use the 3 hinge types in the short game

Can you describe how to use the 3 different hinge types in the short game (chipping and pitching) and state which one should be used for a particular type of shot.

Horizontal Hinge - running chip
angled hinge - standard pitch
verticle hinge - lob/cut/sand shot
