At the range today, behind the stall was in happened to be a full length mirror used by the pro. When I checked my setup I noticed how closed my setup is. Really closed. It took some time to try to correct it (and square was feeling quite open to me). I knew I was always a little closed with the driver but this was a real eye-opener.

Any thoughts on how this affects plane/pivot/impact?

Some times a mirrors (and even a camera) can give you a distorted view. A better way to test your setup alignment is to set a club near the ball along your target line and then set another club near your feet. The two clubs should be parallel from head to grip.
