Just went over to Golfer Warehouse and hit some drivers. I normally cut/slice/block slice the ball. Trying to use the new release, I was hooking/drawing the ball on the monitor, as well as much better distance. Granted, I have not played and it is winter in MA but was still interesting.
For those in warmer climates, have you seen any distance increases or change in ball flight like this?
Brian,
is this common?

What system do they use? How accurate are the launch monitors at retail outlets? Are they juiced and tweaked for straight balls to give the consumer a false sense of security?

Yes and Yes. The out toss, as described in "Ideas", will put the hands on an inside path to the ball. At least it has for me anyway.

They are adjustable--most are a bit jacked up. And the "sense" of security is very real. The actual security, not so much.
