I am currently using V1 software for video analysis, but will soon be switching to the dark side and purchasing a Macbook Pro.

Can anyone recommend a good program to run on a Mac?

New
analyzr is newly developed for mac, not sure if fully released yet. google analyzr golf and you can find it.

Not sure of all the file types it supports, but mostly what I do is go from camera to iphoto, then keynote will pull it from iphoto.

First of all congratulations for moving AWAY from the dark side. You won't regret it.

Quicktime is normally quite good in showing frame by frame (just use the cursor keys).
But there is now SwingIt available which you can install from the new Appstore. I haven't tried it (I just use V1 on my iPhone) but I would be interested to hear/see some reviews on it.

I recently bought Swing It from the Mac Appstore. It cost about £18 (not sure what it will be in $). I think it does a pretty good job for that price. You can have drawings frame by frame, it will tell you a bit about your rhythm and the support is pretty good. I found a few bugs (very normal for a 1.0.x release) and mailed the developper. He had it fixed in no time.
