I don't see a video but yes, the more you over rotate re left arm the more laid off you will be. You will then either come below plane on downswing or come back over plane to find the real plane.

Email me your email address so I can send you those photos I took.

Thanks.

I edited your post so at least there's a link. I have never seen the [media] tags before; maybe the site doesn't allow imbedded videos?

His left arm is simply too rotated and for himey it forces him to either come a bit over it to "find" the plane or he keeps the left arm too rotated which will then become even more rotated with the force acted on it by his very very dynamic pivot and he comes underplane.

We had a lesson and i gave him my underplane test of courage drill...where i put a 2 x 4 a few inches from the ball and tell him to hit the ball and not hit the wood; let's just say the first result wasn't very good ;).

However by the end we had his backswing less laid off (which mostly revolves around his left arm rotation) and he was hitting much better shots.

Are you having ballstriking problems?

Yes, I'm all over the course.

I can hit a 320 yard drive straight down the middle, or I can hit a snap hook about a hundred yards left of the tee box, or a huge push out of bounds to the right.

I'm extremely inconsistent, but I can score well. I recently shot an 81 with 12 penalty strokes.

Some pop out there for sure. Brian's discussion of the takeaway on the SD video would help you out a bunch.
