What tools and clubs does VJ use to help his swing? How does he keep his swing on plane so well? I notice he has a club set along his toe line. What is that for?

I have seen him on the practice ground with a shaft set at the shaft plane angle. I guess he uses this like a plane stick . He also uses a heavy club wirh extra lead tape over the shaft. He hits balls with it o in his warm up after swinging away with it. I have seen reports that swinging a heavy club helps you learn to swing on plane. Is there any truth in this ?

He also uses a club that has a round ball that you slide up the shaft . When he swings the downward outward force shoots the ball towards the club head end and makes a clicking noise.

It was said that he uses the Whippy tempo master.

My tempo, timing and distance control have all improved since changing to a heavier, longer and stiffer flex set of irons. I used to be a habitual over accelerator in an effort to feel and maintain lag pressure, I have more of that dragging the heavy mop feeling with these. Actually does anybody know if the older type Dynamic Gold shafts are heavier than the new ?

Heavy clubs certainly help with plane. When you let it 'swing' it stays on plane. Sounds like he was using a 'pure release' (www.rovergolf.com)? A pretty good aid IMO. Somewhat like the old 'swingrite' - helps you 'crack the whip' in the right place.
