It's almost like you have built Brian into some god-like instructor that
is going to wave his magic wand and solve all your golf issues. It will
not happen. He will help, but then you have to be able to implement
the changes after the lessons.
You decide to stop playing until he arrives in California. Ever considered the
possibility that something comes up, and he can't get to California this year?
Then what?
If seeing him is that important, I would bet you can get there, and back for under $500 airfare.

If you are open to a San Diego location, I will try to get an 18 hole course to co-operate with their driving range.
If not, I would talk to the local 50-60 station driving range which has a Hilton adjacent to it here in Del Mar, CA.
Both are adjacent to the Del Mar Race track (not in season until June-July; {PIA for the locals}). All are a mile from the ocean and wonderful beaches. Additionally, it's 15 min north of Torrey Pines Golf Course here in San Diego County which is a public/muni course.
San Diego airport is 1/2 hour south. Or the LA airport is 1 1/2 hours to the north.
For those interested, this Del Mar location is 15 min from Calloway, Taylormade and Titlist headquarters or mfg and fitting facilities.
